HOW TO CREATE COST CENTER

FIORI APP ID:  F1443.

The "Manage Cost Centers" app (Fiori App ID: F1443) allows accountants can ensure effective budget monitoring and cost management within the organization. This app is a key tool in supporting financial transparency, accountability, and efficient internal cost control in SAP S/4HANA.

Pre-Requisites:

ICF NODES

/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/FIN_COSTCENTER

Business Role(s):

SAP_BR_OVERHEAD_ACCOUNTANT  

Follow the Steps below:

Step 1:  Access the "Manage Cost Center" App.

  • Navigate to the "Manage Cost Center" app using the Fiori Launchpad. 


Step 2:  Initiate Cost Center Creation.

  • In the app interface, click on the "Create" button to open the cost center creation screen.


Step 3: Enter Cost Center Details.

  • Cost Center Number - User Define
  • Name
  • Controlling Area
  • Company Code
  • Cost Center Category - P (Production)
  • Responsible Person
  • Validity Period, etc.


Step 4: Enable Budget Control.

  •  In the Budget Control section, activate "Budget Availability Control" to enable real-time budget checks during transactions in system,  This ensures that the system monitors expenditures against allocated budgets, preventing overspending. 


  • Ensure Budget Category must be define in the configuration of cost center budgeting before assigning it to Cost Center.  


Step 5:  Save the Cost Center

  • Review your entries and click "Save" to create the Cost Center with Budget Control enabled.

Now you've successfully created a Cost Center Master Data.
