Error:
"Business has not maintained the consumption accounts in transaction code OBYC for the Finished Product with the combination of Chart of Accounts (COA), Transaction Key GBB, and the Valuation Class."
Resolution Steps:
1. Go To the Transaction Code 'OBYC'.
1 To resolve this issue, follow the steps below to maintain the necessary GL (General Ledger) consumption accounts in transaction OBYC:
2 Select Your Chart of Accounts
- Choose the appropriate Chart of Accounts, e.g., EA00.
3. Maintain Account Assignment for Transaction Key GBB
- Locate the Transaction Key: GBB (Offsetting Entry for Inventory Postings).
- Within GBB, select the appropriate General Modifier (e.g., VBR, VBO, etc., depending on your error message).
- Enter the relevant Valuation Class for the material (e.g., Finished Goods, Semi-Finished Goods, Raw Materials).
4. Assign the Consumption GL Accounts
Maintain the correct GL accounts for the respective Valuation Classes:
Material Type | Valuation Class | GL Account |
---|---|---|
Finished Goods | [Your Val. Class] | 500100 – Finished Goods Consumption |
Semi-Finished Goods | [Your Val. Class] | 500101 – Semi-Finished Goods Cons. |
Raw Materials | [Your Val. Class] | 500105 – Raw Material Consumption |
🔍 Note: Ensure that each valuation class used in material master data is properly mapped to a consumption account in OBYC under the GBB transaction key.
